First day home was Wednesday
Rachel is racing around the house with her cane. In occupational therapy a couple of days ago, it was tiring for her to go up three steps of stairs. Now she is ascending and descending all four sets of 7 steps each in our house. The computer & entertainment center are on the lower level and her bedroom is on the upper level--so she is motivated.
Rachel wanted to go to Target yesterday to look for a hat. She took her cane, bought 3 hats and did real well in navigating around the store. Her friend Steph came over to watch a movie with her and stayed for dinner. She had a BIG day and realized she may have done too much, so she is resting this morning.

RT, you continue to be a rockstar. Going to Target a week after brain surgery---who does that?!? Oh, right, YOU do that, because you are what some would call "pretty darn awesome" :-) I hope you rest up after your big outings, good luck with physical therapy, and I want to see pictures of those hats!! :-) Love you so much,
Linz
Rachel, we're very proud of you. Try not to over-do - yeah, right! I want to see pix of those hats! Love you, Marge & Stan
Hi Rachel...
We are a bit late with a response because we weren't aware of this "blog" until Maria's call to you. We are so happy to hear that you are doing well and that the good news is that it's benign!! Yeah!! We keep waiting for you to tell us that you are coming to the San Diego area to audition or for a class...would love to have you stop by and visit with us. Don't know when we will get out that way to see you and the family. Maria wants to try to get back to Europe to see family...perhaps this September.
With love,
Bob and Maria Bourgeois
